Lawn bowls, as many of my friends and family know, helped me to establish a community in our 6 year stay in Melbourne. I made many dear friends at Oakleigh.
After a slight mis-step at another club, the crew at North Perth are just as fantastic. It’s our first year as members – me as a player, Jonathan as a social member – and the welcome couldn’t have been better.
They’re a great community who’ve helped me become a better bowler. A tiny bit of the credit might go to my beautiful new right-sized Aero Optimas, but the club’s the thing.
